I found your forum while looking for information on driveshaft carrier (support) bearings. Your site is a wealth of information and great reading. I bought my car in 1993 and it has been in the family ever since. I recently got it back from my brother, who has had it for a long time. My brother took great care of it and I really enjoy having it back. It was my first car.
The carrier bearing and the rubber around it is shot. So is the u-joint. No car part places list one available for a 77, but I thought that I read that the newer ones will fit fine. It is my understanding that the carrier bearing from an 82-85 celica will fit my car. Am I correct?
Thanks!
