Yet another newb

Hello all I have been into old school toyotas going on two years now. I currently have 3 Corollas , a 79 "custom" with original 3K-C and K40 4spd , an 80 wagon with a mildly built 3T-C and 3spd auto, and an 81 sedan all original 3T-C and 3spd auto. I started with the wagon which got me wanting more because the body on the wagon is rusted to the point that I dont want to spend the money fixing it, The 81 was bought in the purpose of yanking the engine out and putting the one from the wagon in there but I found a different engine that I want to swap into the 81 (2.3T Ford with a t-5). The 79 is such a great running car with 85,000 original miles on it I am going to use it as my daily driver because of the fuel savings. I am looking into getting a first gen celica for my mom because she seen pictures of one on my computer one night when i was setting up her wireless network for her. I am currently deployed to afganistan with the US Army but will be returning to Ft.Campbell Ky soon.

welcome to the site!

the 79 "bug-eyed" Celica is a great car! not a lot of people liked them, but i've seen a few that looked nice slammed with a nice set of wheels.

the 20R in it is pretty much bullet proof.

be careful where you're at and stay safe!
