Hello everyone, My very first car was a 1974 Toyota Celica GT. Brown with tan int. Boy I miss it. 18RC with a 5 speed.
Now 30 yrs later it is time for another one. I want to build up a first gen for my son (8). I am thinking of a DOHC four
or 6 cyl. swap. (3.4l gm,1jz,2jz) Looking for pros and cons. I would be greatful for any Help

Be careful, i just bought a car parts from a guy that gave the car to his son.

Not all sons crash their cars, my Crown Vic was my first car passed on by my Father (and no it wasn't stock when he gave it to me). It's been 9 years now.
If you are building this for your son, and you are indeed building something modified....don't forget to train your son as well. I can attribute me not totaling my car to the fact that I had lots of driving experience before I ever had a car. I used to drive my go-kart around the fields at my old home for hours a day, had one since I was 7-8 years old. Practice practice practice!
