Import from Classic-Celica.com

Post by yellowjacket »

Hi, just found out about and joined this site. Bought my '77 Celica coupe brand new. It saw one winter and some 110k miles since then. By 79 I had taken out all the smog control, put in cam, dual springs, weber and header. Young punk, had no idea what I was doing. Now I'm an older punk, know a little more, but likely look back in 10 years and realize I still have no idea what I'm doing. Car got parked in 1993 after racing it on the track for a summer or two. Had suffered a hideous paint job and the motor was sounding like it had marbles in it, after just rebuilding it like two years previous. Likely the high oil pressure by pass piston getting stuck on the track had something to do with that. Well, I dragged it out of the back of the garage beginning of Decemeber '09, and it full steam ahead on a full restoration. Project thread at Classic-Celica: http://www.classic-celica.com/nuke/modu ... ic&t=18828 or click my signature web site for the blog on it. As she sits now at the shop, ready for primer:

Great to have found this site, courtesy of Aaron at Classic Celica, assuming he is on here somewhere also. Great to be aboard.
